Cuvee du Vatican 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition - Rhone Blends Red Wine

Red Wine by Cuvee du Vatican from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France - Rhone. Opaque purple. Intensely floral nose offers spicy blackberry and cherry preserve aromas, along with violet, lavender and Asian spices. Pretty exotic today, with sweet dark berry liqueur flavors, soft tannins and a lush creamy quality carrying through the finish. Gains a youthfully firm edge with air, but with no loss of energy or sweetness. Very promising. -International Wine Cellar 90-92
